I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I give this book 5 out of 5 stars!
I loved this book! I read it so fast in under four hours, and despite it being for tweens I think it is great for any age group! I really hope this one is even made into a movie, I think it would be awesome!
Raine is having another fresh start, thanks to her mom. I knew how Raine felt as I often moved around myself a lot as a child. Also, Raine is an only child just like me! Raine was very easy for me to relate to. Then Raine finds out that Emily H went missing, and was bullied by the same girls who bully her.
This is a great book for teens to read about the effects of bullying, especially bullying in cyberspace. Also there are some great feelings of friendship. Raine sticks up for her friend Shirlee, day in and day out.
This book was very well written, I could feel what Raine was feeling. I also loved the paranormal aspects to this book. Unfortunately for Raine usually her gift makes her seem more awkward than help her. Her gift does come through for her though at times. I think it would be so interesting to have a paranormal gift, even if it made me look terribly awkward.
I would definitely read this book at any age, it reminds you all about the pesky time of middle school, and the mean girls most girls have to deal with. Also, this book is great to give someone courage if they are being bullied. If I had a daughter this age I would buy it for her if she was bullied and/or being bullied. Sometimes if we can find a character to relate to during a tragedy it makes such a big difference in our lives.
